• Furnished Tourist Accommodation – Prefectorial classification:

Furnished Tourist Accommodation (“Meublés de Tourisme”) are furnished villas, apartments or studio flats for the exclusive use of tenants, available for temporary daily, weekly or monthly rental, and in which domicile cannot be elected. The non-election of domicile is ensured by the commitment of the person renting out not to rent to the same person for a period of more than 12 consecutive weeks (3 months).
These accommodations have been submitted to a classification inspection in conformance with the current regulations (standards of safety, hygiene, salubrity and comfort) by Manche Tourisme – a certified body.

• Furnished Tourist Accommodation with the Gîtes de France / Clévacances label:

In addition to the prefectorial classification, Furnished Tourist Accommodation can be labelled Gîtes de France (rural cottages) or Clévacances (Clévacances Furnished Accommodation) by the Association des Gîtes de France and the Association Clévacances. Additional guarantees related to quality, comfort and amenities are added to the standards required by the prefectorial classification.
